Primary recruitment test for 45,000 teachers in April

Recruitment Test for the post of Assistant Teacher in Government Primary School will be held within next month. Candidates who have passed will be recruited in July. The decision was taken by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at a meeting held on Wednesday.

This information was given in a press release of the ministry yesterday(March 10).

Statement on Primary and Mass Education said on Wednesday. A meeting was held in the conference room of the ministry under the chairmanship of Zakir Hossain. It was informed in the meeting that the Department of Primary Education issued a notification in October 20  last year for the recruitment of 32,577 vacant posts of assistant teachers in the primary. But due to the Corona epidemic, it was not possible to take the recruitment test. In the meantime, more than ten thousand posts of assistant teachers have become vacant due to retirement. This has led to a shortage of teachers in schools, which is hampering the teaching activities. To solve this problem, the ministry has decided to recruit about 45,000 assistant teachers by combining the vacancies in the previous notification and the vacancies after the notification.

In this context, Primary and Mass Education Secretary Aminul Islam Khan said that there is no alternative to education for the development and progress of the nation and building a knowledge-based society. Primary education builds the foundation of the nation. So the government is committed to ensuring quality primary education. Necessary steps will be taken for this purpose as soon as possible

The meeting was attended by Aminul Islam Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Alamgir Mohammad Mansurul Alam, Director General, Department of Primary Education, Abu Bakar Siddique, Additional Secretary, Ruhul Amin, and Mosharraf Hossain.
